Philosophy
Every child is an individual with unique abilities, desires and
emotions. Our program is designed to meet the individual needs of
each child and to provide them with enriching experiences. In our
infant/toddler program, we recognize that, through love and understanding,
our children will feel the warmth and security that fosters self-confidence
and inner-happiness. Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere wherein
children can grow and develop at their own pace, feel proud of their
many accomplishments and, through exploration, discover the wonderful
world of play.

Goals
Our primary goal is to provide each infant and toddler with the
best of care in a clean and nurturing environment. Our highly qualified
and professional staff will guide and encourage your child in every
stage of his or her development. We recognize that each child has
unique abilities and, through a close relationship between child
and teacher, we work together to develop social and emotional growth,
as well as language and cognitive development. Our play equipment
is designed to provide stimulating experiences for the children
where they can learn through their own natural curiosity.
Our secondary goal is to keep our parents involved in their child's
day through consistent and effective communication with our staff.
We recognize that, for the working parent, it can be very difficult
to place a young child in a center each day. It is with this in
mind that we strive to maintain the best possible care and environment
for our children, and to provide parents with the information and
guidance they may need with their child's growth and development.
Also, on a daily basis, we inform parents about their child's day
- their feeding schedule, toileting information and sleeping pattern
as well as anything that we feel should be brought to their attention.
We encourage parents to stop by and nurse or feed their infants,
and invite parents of toddlers to have lunch with us or participate
in program activities. Birthday parties are encouraged, and parents
are invited to provide special treats for their child and his or
her little friends on these special occasions. We hope that, by
working together, your child will have a very positive, happy and
successful experience in our very special program. In fact, we look
forward to teaching and caring for your child for many years to
come in our pre-school and private elementary school

Program
There is no program schedule in CAMELOT's infant/toddler program;
instead we encourage the children to learn and play at their own
pace and on their own schedule. Throughout the day children may
enjoy the large variety of play materials that are readily made
available to then, as well as creative play centers and music. Stories
are read to the children many times each day, and arts and crafts
activities are provided for the toddler age group. Infants are given
daily rides in the four-seater "Bye-Bye Buggy" and the
toddlers play in a yard filled with age-appropriate equipment.
Hours
Our Infant/Toddler Center hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Ages of Children
We accept infants from six weeks to about one year of age. At that
time, if developmentally ready, children are then placed in the
toddler area where the equipment, materials and program are more
suited to this age group.
Meals
Infants: We follow the schedule requested by the parent,
including the amount of food to be given. All food items are provided
by the parent.
Toddlers: We provide all meals for children in this age group.
The schedule is as follows:

7:30 Breakfast |
Afternoon: |
3:00 Snack |
| 9:30 Snack |
5:30 Snack (Upon request of parent.) |
| 11:45 Lunch |
Nap
Infants: Each child is provided with his or her own crib.
Infants may sleep according to their own schedule. Parents are informed
each day as to the amount of time their child slept.
Toddlers: Every day, toddlers are provided with a rest time
from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. If a toddler needs additional rest time
in the morning, this can be accommodated.
