Program for 2's and 3's
In keeping with Camelot's overall philosophy that we recognize and embrace each child's unique abilities, desires and emotions, in our 2s and 3s program we work to strengthen their communication skills by assisting them in moving from parallel play to cooperative play with their friends. We also offer a developmentally appropriate program that is designed to allow the 2s and 3s to explore a variety of learning centers that will provide them with the choices that are both appropriate and stimulating for children who are naturally active and curious at this age. A separate outside play space is also available to them just outside their classroom that allows us to offer both an indoor and outdoor experience for them during the morning program. Additionally, an important focus in this program is to assist both the children and their parents in achieving successful potty training. In this regard, our staff members work side-by-side with parents in insuring a consistent and positive approach in order to assist the children in accomplishing this very important level of development.

Throughout the program, the children learn to share, take turns and develope their fine and gross motor skills while engaged in both indoor and outdoor activities. As they interact with their peers in collaborative projects and in play, they begin to develop and improve their social emotional and behavioral skills.
Afternoon activities are provided for all preschool children attending the full day session. These include art, story, music, creative movement, and imaginative play. The children also enjoy playing outside in a large space that offers a variety of play equipment, including several climbing structures, tricycles, sandboxes and playhouses.
Meals
An option to include a nutritious, fresh and organic lunch prepared in our own kitchen is available upon request. A complimentary breakfast is also offered for children who arrive before 7:15am. A mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack is also provided.
Summer
Our school is open year-round and all programming is unaffected during the summer months. We do, however, offer a seasonal and varied calendar throughout the year.
Extracurricular
A variety of extracurricular activities are offered each year for our children. These currently include dance (for children two years up) and piano lessons (for children in Prekindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten).
